LexisNexis gave out incorrect information causing a problem with my auto insurance. All LexisNexis wants to do is send me a report with the same wrong information so we can discuss it.

I already know what information is wrong, the insurance company told me. LexisNexis is a joke. Maybe selling accurate information is too hard. This company blows.

The customer service person kept telling me I had to get a report before she would discuss the problem.

The only way to get the report was to give her the corrected information. Guess this is a good gig, selling worthless information.

Location: Monroe, Louisiana

I just received a letter stating I was in an accident in 2016. Ok first question is it takes 2 years for this to appear suddenly?

Why is my insurance company just now making me aware? Red flags for me and I will be researching further to see what else I need to do.

This and other reporting companies are incorrect the Gatlinburg Fire is a prime example it was November 28th 2016. This was a catastrophic fire my insurance company reported it that way however according to Aplus reporting they donโ€™t communicate with each other so even if you correct one the others can and are usually wrong.

So that makes getting insurance difficult if I canโ€™t get this corrected Iโ€™m goi g to start suing these companies and the insurance companies that base their decisions on these companies giving out incorrect information. They are a joke and whatโ€™s worse about s the Insurance basing decisions on their bogus information.We.

Red to all start a class action low suit! Pissed doesnโ€™t describe my anger.

Having same problem, my car insurer of 25 yrs NJM is now using them and I just received my 2018 renewal. My premiums have jumped from $2400 to $4800 because of NEXISLEXIS report on INSURANCE POOL RISK.

Lol. Not 1 accident or speeding ticket in 25 years but because I have multiple credit cards and make banking movements with my $ , I'M A HIGH RISK!

Same here. Need to find a way to shut them down.

We just had the same experience. LexisNexis somehow attributed an accident my mother-in-law had in 2014 to my husband, who lived 1500 miles away from her at the time of the accident!

This inaccurate reporting jacked up our insurance rates. Trying to get through to someone as LexisNexis was a true feat in itself - then getting the dim bulb who FINALLY answered my call to understand that it was THEIR inaccurate information that THEY needed to correct, then send the CORRECTED information to me and/or my insurance company was an act of amazing frustration!

This company sux as do the idiots who work there!

Lexisnexis is very difficult to deal with on corrections. All my information came from one insurance company on auto.

This ins. company told them they were wrong- 3 times. I told them they were wrong 4 times. Finally got a report on 1/17/17 that was correct.

On 1/18/17 another report is wrong again. They have 3 claims, $00.00, of unknown events almost 7 yrs. ago added. This is down from the 13 events of stuff that was not mine.

My insurance company will have to contact them 1 more time to correct it again. They are a NIGHTMARE.

Report them to the Bureau of Consumer Protection | Federal Trade Commission on their website. If enough people complain, they will investigate.

While a law student, I looked myself up on LexisNexis. They incorrectly said I was charged with a first degree felony.

This is obviously disappointing because it may affect my ability to get a job if an employer uses LexisNexis to conduct background checks. I am still looking for a way to correct their data.

I just got screwed on auto insurance. Lexis is reporting an at fault accident for me on Jan 14, 2012.

The only accident I've ever had was June 2009. I get to fight them over this now.

Oh and that's after fighting for ten months to clear up my background check they jacked up last year. How the *** are these people still in business??

I was shopping for better insurance rates and was told by an agency that Lexis Nexis also had me down for an "at fault" accident 3 years ago. I contacted my insurance carrier of 20 years and they verified that was absolutely untrue and sent me a letter and an email to back it up.

Trying to get it straightened out with Lexis Nexis took TWO months, hours of frustration, emails, phone calls and letters! The real story finally came out. While shopping, someone had backed into my bumper and did "minor" damage to it. Damage was a little over $1,000 (Mercedes repairs, however slight, are expensive).

The insurance company correctly listed the claim as an "unoccupied vehicle" so where Lexis Nexus got the idea it was my fault is ridiculous! Then I eventually signed with a new company (AAA) and took out my vehicle, earthquake, and renters policy with them. After being insured for 2 months, out of the blue I get a "cancellation and termination" notice because of my claims history on my rental insurance. Instead of calling me to verify the accuracy of Lexis Nexus, they sent me a letter that my insurance would be cancelled and that the notice would not be waived under any circumstances, (giving me a 12 day notice form the date I received the snail-mail letter).

Two months after switching my policies with AAA, they now inform me that I had "TEMPORARY" insurance with them and the policies are now cancelled, although all my policies were approved two months earlier and paid up one year in advances. AAA said the cancellation was because of my "claims history" on my rental insurance, although I am 59 years old and have NEVER filed a renters or homeowners claim in my life! Found out that when I had to take an abusive landlord in Beverly Hills to court a year earlier to get out of the lease, for non repair of plumbing, heating, air conditioning, abuse, etc. HE filed a claim with HIS insurance company to pay his legal fees.

THAT showed up on MY Lexis Nexus. First of all, that is wrong. I deserve my right to privacy over a CIVIL issue. This was like being abused twice.

Second, it is none of anyone elses business (especially my insurance company) because I never filed an insurance claim and that matter has NOTHING to do with MY insurance. Does anyone else feel like all you do is FIGHT with companies these days? And to try to get a human?

That's another chapter! Ugh!

I am getting burned by LexisNexis now. I sent a complaint to the FTC today.

They are reporting two claims against me from my twin. We have two completely different social security numbers, however, our date of birth obviously and our names are similar. They told me to contact her insurance company to expedite the dispute. Which I did.

However, they are saying they're processing. I was supposed to close today. Their errant report is the difference in a $3800 policy versus a $1200 policy and amount needed for closing. I just found out about this last week.

My Loan Officer asked me to investigate why my premium was so high to only find out that I was denied by 5 others due to this. All the emails said prior to this one company was that they couldn't insure my property. One of their reps hung up on me. I'm still battling even though they have the corrected information.

I didn't close today. Not sure when I'll close or if I'll be able to within the timeframe needed to get my children transferred. I even asked why if there were different socials how they tied the info to me.

I asked how I could protect myself in the future, they said they don't report it just present it. To which I replied, you should verify before you present it.

I am getting inaccurate information taken off. For the past 4 years travels insurance reported an accident on my report.

It was actually a stolen vehicle. So my rates were being quoted as an accident. Will I be able to sue the insurance company for high rates based on an accident?

Who should I ask. Travelers insurance.
