In April 1997, LexisNexis had my files intermixed with 5 other people. I disputed the information, and LexisNexis deleted the information.

Recently, I requested for my LexisNexis files. In reviewing them, they have my files intermixed with the same 5 other people plus 3 other additional people, totaling 8 other people's files intermixed with my LexisNexis files.. They have me owning property in New Mexico and Washington state. I have never lived in New Mexico or Washington state.

I have never owned any property in New Mexico or Washington state. I disputed the information. Their representative admitted the Social Security numbers of the other people did not match my Social Security number. However, LexisNexis claimed they verified I owned property in Washington state.

I secured the property records from Washington state. The signatures on the deeds and deeds of trust do not match my signature on my California driver's license or Social Security card. Obviously, LexisNexis did not source the information. I disputed the information again with copies of the property records from Washington state and a copy of my California driver's license and Social Security card.

I explained in detail the signatures on the property records do not match my signature on my driver's license and Social Security card. LexisNexis still has not resolved this matter. Their recordkeeping is deplorable and highly inaccurate. Additionally, they had one of my co-resident's LexisNexis files intermixed with a person in Idaho.

Plus, they showed my 2 co-residents and I as having applied for hunting licenses in the state of Maryland. None of us hunt. None of us have ever applied for a hunting license. None of us own a gun or rifle or any sort of hunting equipment.

Based on my experience with LexisNexis, I would not recommend them. Their recordkeeping is deplorable and highly inaccurate. Furthermore, they do not appear to have any safe guards in place to prevent intermixed files. Note: Also, having worked in the Child Support Division in the DA's Office, I would not recommend LexisNexis.

Their recordkeeping is highly inaccurate and deplorable. It is very unreliable.

User's recommendation: Do not use LexisNexis. Highly inaccurate. Unreliable.

Monetary Loss: $10000.

Preferred solution: Do not use LexisNexis..
