Have been contacting LexisNexis since Apr. 2016 when USAA ins. agent told me of my "insurance score" from LexisNexis being 783 of their 200-997 range. This has caused all my several home and auto ins. quotes to be quite high. When I contacted them I was sent reports from all 3 credit reporting agencies. I applied for car insurance and asked what was being reported on my driving record. Three incidences in the past three years. Two were accidents my ex husband was in. Keep in mind his car was not in my name and he was not on my insurance policy. Third report was for my car before I even owned it. Insurance companies are putting customers on hold to communicate with Lexis Nexis. They are not there to be fair, they are here to help companies increase rates by any additional information they can get. My insurance went up because this company is retaining private information. Attempting to open an online business bank account with Smallbusinessbank.com and they use Lexis Nexis to confirm identity. The questions asked made zero sense, I do not know who Vicki Perkins is just because we have the same last name. They did not have the correct date for when I purchased my home (checked assessors records to be sure). this company erroneously stated our daughter in law is attached to our house insurance policy, and denied she and our son insurance from USAA because we had a large claim due to water damage two years ago. We verified with our insurance company that no one is attached to our policy. We do not do business with our son or his wife for anything. CLUE should get a CLUE This company gathers & reports false information. Two false accidents have been reported to my agency, which increased my insurance rate. One includes bodily injury. Hold times are unreasonable long. Complain to you attorney general's office. If enough complaints are made an investigation will ensue. This often results in a class action suit. My bank, Advancial Credit Union, uses LexisNexis to generate random questions in order to verify that I am who I am, before they will assist me with my banking needs- except they generate inaccurate or personal questions (some of which should be considered an invasion of privacy or criminal act at the very least). I just received a phone call on my cell phone from 732-200-2445. This man stated he was an investor and wanted to know if my mother's house was for sale. I stated the house has been sold, and then asked him how he obtained my phone number. I am on the Do Not Call Registry. He stated that he buys lists from Lexis Nexis. This company is the most unhelpful company I have ever dealth with in my 44 years of life. They reported my X husbands wrecks on his sons driving report that auto insurance companies pull up to decide their insurance rates. It is going to take a month to review this mistake to make a decision. Now granted the first phone call Lexis Nexis told me those accidents were not my son. Which I already knew that. I have tried several times to speak to one of their Representative to get a copy of their credit report. I was on hold for 30 minutes at 6:30 pm even though the company's operating hours are to 7 pm. Then I called the next day and was on hold three times for at least 10 minutes.
